Addendum activities to the Integrated Rural Development Program

Financed by Sida
Period, June 2008 – March 2009

In the frame of the current Integrated Rural Development Program, ZORS “Alka” suggested additional activities that are accepted for financing by Sida.

The aim of these addendum program activities is to give sustained and continuous assistance to rural communities in Macedonia. Therefore Alka is focusing on all 26 municipalities where the Association worked in the period 2004-2008. These activities will use already established Alka tools and methodologies, towards maximizing the sustainability impact.

Activities will solve twelve (12) rural priority problems. At the same time project outputs will increase the municipal capacities for project management and implementation; will increase the knowledge of local population and improve the living conditions in rural areas. Consequently, Alka’s considerable experiences and capacities in proven participatory approaches will contribute further in producing noteworthy results to the ongoing decentralisation process, will improve the economic growth potentials and stimulate sustainable rural development within the region.

Program budget is 489.980 EURO
Financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency – Sida
Period for implementation is from June 2008 till end of March 2009
