The program is continuation of the previously completed programs, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency – Sida
The Overall Program Objectives - Sustainable rural development, promotion and support of decentralisation process in the Republic of Macedonia on grassroots level.
Goals, Objectives and Activities: Capacity building in the communities and local self-governance; promotion of “good governance” and support in completion of the projects in the communities.

Additional activities of the Program “Integrated rural development” – Cleaning Strumica river bed and Monospitovo drainage channels

Goals of the additional program activities are: Solving priority infrastructure problem; Improving cooperation between municipalities and communities; Increasing inhabitant’s awareness for the existence of the health and environment problem and overcoming that conditions.

The goal of the Program extension is public promotion of Alka’s methodology and the best practices, enabling active participants in local development to practice it.
