The citizens of Makedonski Brod decided to urbanize the center
The seventh forum session in Makedonski Brod, within the scope of the program “Forums in the community” was held on the 7th of April in the hall of the primary school “St.Kliment Ohridski”, with the participation of 75 citizens of the municipality.
The whole session was dedicated to the selection of the projects to be financed by the funds of the project and realized in the next eight months. The selection of the priority projects was implemented through a transparent voting procedure, in a positive atmosphere. From the total number of citizens, 71 were involved in the voting process through participating in the work of the forum on the previous sessions.
The following four draft-projects determined as priority by the participants of the forum for improving their daily life, were subjected to a vote on the seventh session in Makedonski Brod:
- “New perspectives for the development of tourism in the municipality Makedonski Brod – hunting home in the village Tazevo”
- “Urbanization of the central city area in Makedonski Brod”
- “Improvement of the infrastructure for sport and recreation and increasing traffic safety in Makedonski Brod”
- “Makedonski Brod – clean and healthy environment
The citizens of Makedonski Brod gave full support to the project “Urbanization of the central city area in Makedonski Brod” and realize it with funds from the project fund.
The total budget for this project is 5.799.383,64 denars, out of which the Swiss agency for development and cooperation (SDC) and the municipality provided four million denars, while the rest of the funds will be provided by the carrier of the project and the partners.
With the realization of the Seventh forum session, the forum process in the municipality of Makedonski Brod was closed. The Forum process, as the first part of the program activities foreseen in the scope of the Program “Forums in the community” entailed definition of problems on the territory of the municipality from the field encompassed by the topic of the forum, their analysis, proposing solutions for the problems and development of draft-projects.
In the following period, within the scope of the program “Forums in the community” in the municipality of Makedonski Brod, there will be implementation of activities for realization of the selected project. To that end, there shall be preparation of full technical documentation for obtaining the necessary construction permits, implementation of a tender procedure for the selection of a contractor, followed by construction activities foreseen within the scope of the selected project.
