The citizens of Dolneni regarding environmental protection
Environmental protection is the topic selected by the citizens of the municipality Dolneni for the first forum session within the program “Community forums” held on December 3rd in the restaurant “M” in the village Lazani.
This topic was selected by means of 57 votes opposed to the topic Rural development that received 37 votes from the citizens. The topics were proposed by the municipal authorities.
At the beginning of the session, the municipal mayor of Dolneni, Izudin Karisic, stated “the municipality of Dolneni is a multiethnic eenvironment where all citizens live in peace and harmony. We have solved many infrastructure problems; however, unfortunately, many still remain.
The municipality of Dolneni in one of eight municipalities of the Program that has been selected to continue in the second round of the Program’s Second phase that shall involve about 25 municipalities in the next three years.
The people that attended the first session were divided into several “working tables” that represented the various interests of the citizens – agriculture, business, health, youth, disabled, environmental protection and education.
The projects that shall be determined and proposed by the citizens shall be finances with a budget of six million denars, where 1,5 million shall represent the participation of the municipality and 4,5 million shall be donated by the Swedish agency for development and cooperation (SDC).
In this municipality, the Program shall be implemented by the Association for sustainable development and cooperation “Alka “.
